Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah threatened to seal the Punjab CM House on Tuesday if the much-anticipated session of the provincial assembly does not take place today (Wednesday) in light of the no-trust motion filed against Chief Minister Parvez Elahi.

Conversing with columnists in Lahore, the security despot said: " If Chaudhry Parvez Elahi fails to accept the vote of confidence or the assembly session is postponed, the Punjab CM House will be sealed. Sanaullah added that even if the provincial assembly session does not take place, the Punjab chief minister will still need to conduct the vote of no confidence.

He continued, "If he does not take the trust vote, Elahi will lose the chief ministership."

The interior minister stated in response to a question that the governor has the authority to convene the provincial assembly session.

Sanaullah said that the no-trust move must come after the chief minister himself said that 99 percent of lawmakers oppose the assembly's dissolution, citing CM Elahi's recent statement.
