LAHORE: Imran Khan, a former prime minister and chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), claimed that "one man" was still behind the efforts to end the politics of his party. The former premier made these remarks while speaking to protesters outside the Punjab Governor House in Lahore to "bar" Governor Baligh ur Rehman from taking any "unconstitutional" action.
Imran Khan claimed, without naming anyone, that the country was plunged into political and economic turmoil as a result of a single individual's decision to topple his government.
He criticized the "one man" for the "atrocities" that the PTI and its members had to endure and asked: What did they do wrong? Only that we refused to accept the robbery gang you forced upon us?
When his party was ousted, the entire nation rose up, the PTI chief noted. It was conveying that the imported government was unacceptable in one way.
