In Beijing, the 2023 Basketball Game for Foreigners has just started. The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports and the Foreign Affairs Office of Beijing Municipality’s People’s Government jointly organized the match.

The match featured nearly thirty expatriates from seventeen different countries, including Zambia, South Korea, Brazil, Japan, and the United States.

Eight teams were assembled to compete, including the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB), the Beijing-Japanese Club Basketball Association (Beijing 56°ers), the Mongolian Embassy in China, and five other universities.

Approximately 1,400 expatriates in Beijing have participated in over 60 teams in this tournament, which has been held for six years running and is well-known among embassies and expatriates. It is attended by 20,000 local and foreign spectators.

The Beijing Second Community Cup Basketball League Three-Person Basketball Tournament, a social basketball activity at the Beijing level, has included this year’s basketball tournament for the first time.

The ambassador of Mongolia in China, Zolboo Enkbold, expressed his joy at being able to play with all the teams and appreciated how well-planned the event was, with a welcoming environment aimed at enhancing the cultural and sporting lives of foreigners living in Beijing.

A USTB student from Mozambique named Alexandre expressed his happiness at participating in his first three-player basketball tournament in Beijing, saying he hoped to continue playing in such events going forward.
